Modeling Glass Powder Binder 7 oz.

Product Description

Transform your powdered frit into a firm, non-sticky clay like material! Use with liquid medium (#96204, sold separately) to make your own versatile glass clay. When used together this unique two-part kit consisting of a powdered binder and liquid medium allows artists to combine any powder frit with water to create their own claylike, modeling material.

Roll it flat, cut it, create coils or press it into a silicone mold or texture sheet to form it. You can even sand it when it's dry to finalize your shape before firing. Thin with water to create beautiful palette-knife textures.

Made with non-toxic, food-grade ingredients. Modeling glass does not affect the compatibility of the glass. Compatible with all glass COEs.

Vendor Tips:

  • The binder and liquid medium burn out during the early stages of firing leaving behind just the glass. It is recommended to vent your kiln to 1000* degrees F.
  • Modeling Glass can be stored in a plastic airtight container. If you plan to store it longer than a few days, wrap the ball in plastic wrap before placing in into the container. Modeling Glass will keep for several months.

NOTE: The mixing instructions for Modeling Glass were developed for use with Bullseye Glass powders. The ratio for mixing Modeling Glass with Oceanside/Spectrum/Uroboros or other powders is slightly different. INCREASE BINDER from two 1/2 level teaspoons (6g) to 1 level tablespoon (7g). INCREASE WATER from 1/4 cup plus 2 teaspoons (60g) to 1/4 cup plus two 1/4 teaspoons (70g).
